A few quick answers first
Can you give me personal tax advice?
No, and treat any site that claims it can with caution. The calculators estimate take-home pay for standard employment. Once pensions, benefits in kind, self-employment or residency come into play, you really want a qualified tax adviser in your own country.
My payslip shows a different number than your calculator. Why?
Usually it comes down to pension contributions, student loan repayments, health insurance choices or local and municipal tax differences. The methodology page sets out exactly what each calculator does and does not fold in. If none of that accounts for the gap, send us the country and salary and we will look into it.
Can you add my country or profession?
Reader requests really do steer what comes next; a number of the 22 countries here landed on the site because people asked for them. Let us know the country or profession, and a link to the official tax authority if you have one.
Do you do link exchanges or paid guest posts?
No. Genuine data journalism and research are always worth a conversation, but we do not run paid links or sponsored pieces dressed up as editorial.
